The formative years. As a species we are naturally inquisitive, especially in our formative years. It is essential that we should quickly gain an understanding of the world around us, in order to survive. Though adequate, our knowledge is never complete and there remain many challenging questions. What is time? What is space? What is eternity? Who am I?
The later years. These questions are forgotten as we become fully involved in life, love, marriage, children, work and leisure. However, as we approach our later years and our circumstance change, they will again become prominent in our thoughts. This volume is the result of my own thoughts and investigation, and expresses the conclusions that constitute my understanding of the subject.
One Society. Religious and cultural belief has been something of a stumbling block in the realisation of a unity of nations. Communication and travel have broadened our horizons to the point where we are no longer able to live in isolation with our spiritual ideologies, and must therefore seek a unifying understanding of our situation within this creation.
World View: ( Transient ).
The human brain may be considered to be a repository of objective sensations elicited from an objective situation ( world view )..Repeated exposure to the same or similar situations will re-enforce the sensation evoked, thus providing a mechanism to support an objective presence (body and mind). Within our societies, our loved ones, are generally viewed as Self. We relate Self to Self, in the belief of our individual ability to do so. In contrast, those outside of our immediate sphere of experience, are generally viewed as world-view-transient, within the bounds of our knowledge and conscience.
Attributes: Knowledge, Visualisation, Communication, Audition...
Self: ( Immortal, always ).
Self is a state in time alone. It has no physical attributes, and would appear fragile within the world view, space-time continuum. However, the virtual attribution of each instance of self, bestows individuation upon each Being within the domain. Realisation of oneself as immortal, has not generally been the case. To become immortal after death, is the more accepted view. In conflict, or sexual arousal, we can become perhaps, less than was intended. However, a loving relationship, requires more than this, and it requires it now, within a lifetime, to become fulfilled.
Attributes: Wisdom, Conscience, Faith, Love...
Conclusion. A unified and cohesive understanding of our state-of-being, should provide a consistent world-view, leading to more tolerant patterns of behaviour across the many cultural, geographical and religious boundaries.
The nature of this creation is challenging, and we are all compromised by it to various degrees, both physically and personally. The physical will eventually succumb. Let us hope that we may all endure, prepared for the journey to come.
